Joomla 3x jwplayer allvideos plugin

I am using allvideos jwplayer plugin in Joomla 3.x. I can use the following code for external youtube or vimeo, but not local mp4. I have the source code set to {mp4}myfile.mp4{/mp4}. I have the plugin configured to the default images/videos. The mp4 file i'm trying to play is there. The player is visible on the article page. When you try to play, It displays the message: Error Loading media: the file could not be played. I have seen some posts saying you have to use the path. I've also tried {mp4}images/videos/myfile.mp4{/mp4}
