My organization uses JWplayer 5.10.2295 as our player to host several hundred long (1 hr +) videos. Many of our viewers use Internet Explorer 11, and we have noticed that the player, while it has no issues with Chrome or Firefox, has an issue where sometimes on IE11, a video will crash in the middle of viewing it and display a green screen. This happens at random. Sometimes it never happens at all. Closing the browser and reopening it will usually allow it to play through. We would like to eliminate this from ever happening.
Has anyone else noticed this issue with Internet Explorer 11, and has anyone found a fix? My organization is unable to upgrade to a new version of the player at this time. We would be able to change our video export settings if that is what we need to do. What are the optimal video format settings for this version of the player?
