We have been working on reducing the startup time of RTMP/RTSP live streaming by tweaking the Wowza server. We were able to reduce the startup time from 15 seconds to 5 seconds for RTSP. But for RTMP after optimzing on Wowza server side it has reduced to 8 seconds. However when we tried to play the same RTMP stream on https://www.hlsplayer.net/rtmp-player, the streaming gets started within 5 seconds but for JWPlayer it takes 8-10 seconds.
We have discussed this with Wowza support team and they have suggested us that there are some configuration which are on player side which we will need to update. We have configured the bufferlength to 2 but we could not find any improvement.
Can you please suggest us any other configuration which we have to use for reducing startup time of RTMP stream.
