When opening a streaming video using JWPlayer on Mac OS Safari, the video does not play and the error "Error loading media: File could not be played" is shown.
We are using the html5 player, on all browsers it works fine as expected, however with some videos which are hosted on a third party server, we are unable to play and the error above is displayed.
Steps to reproduce;
- On a Mac OS machine, using Safari, open the following URL;
http://maintenance.folensonline.ie/jwplayer/jwplayerMacError.html
On any other browser, this video will play correctly, but on Safari it will show an error
As a test, the video below *will* play on Mac OS Safari, in addition to all other browsers;
http://maintenance.folensonline.ie/jwplayer/jwplayerNoError.html
I've looked through several posts about setting the correct mimetype etc.. but I can't see what is causing this issue?
